Derby Futsal Ladies earn Fair Play Trophy in Spain

Over the weekend June 21st-23rd, our Ladies team competed in the Tximist Cup in Hondarribia, northern Spain.

As one of only two English teams participating, the girls enjoyed playing against a different style and standard of futsal in the friendly but competitive tournament.

Lack of substitutes proved costly but despite exiting at the group stage, it was an incredibly worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Derby were rewarded for their high spirits with the competition’s Fair Play trophy.
