Derby Futsal faces Trent Valley this Sunday in a huge encounter in the NFS tier 2 season.
Derby are off an impressive 7-2 victory over Leicester and find themselves top of the table. Trent Valley are a very youthful side who are yet to pick up a victory this season and have only a point to their name at the bottom of the table. They played very well in their 8-5 defeat by Loughborough.
Gareth Keeling has been in fine form this season, played in four out of the five games this season and has four goals. After being suspended for the Leicester tie, he is back and is raring to go, “yeah I’m buzzing, I was on the side lines for the game against Leicester and everyone played so well and I’m buzzing to get back involved with the team.”
Keeling reflected on the Leicester game and said what needs to be brought forward for Trent, “Yeah there’s a lot of positives to take, we were a lot more disciplined, a lot more organised and we took our fast breaks better than we did against York so there is a lot of positives to take and scoring lots of goals of course.”
There are still improvements to be made, “We watched the way Trent played before our game and I think it will be a case of adjusting to how they play, that is so important in this game, so many teams set up differently and we need to be able to adapt.”
Derby will be hoping to earn back-to-back wins this Sunday and stay top of the table as they face Trent Valley at 2 pm on Sunday.
