Derby Futsal Club are delighted to announce three new signings to the team, in a big boost coming out of the national lockdown.
The new arrivals are Merle Schmid, Molly Boultbee and Audrey Huskisson-Moore, who will all look to have an impact on and off the field in the coming months.
The trio have all been a part of Long Eaton United FC Ladies and are looking forward the challenges ahead.
Merle Schmid, who mainly plays in goal, noted how she’s looking forward to being a part of the side, “It’s very exciting, it’s good to be able to play with the girls and I’m looking forward to the season. The whole team has made me feel very welcome.”
Molly Boultbee has also been a part of Leicester City WFC and is delighted about the return to post-lockdown Futsal with her new club, saying, “It’s really good, after being out for so long and then finally getting everything back together. We’re getting our fitness back, but we move forward.”
The first game back for Derby Futsal Club Women’s will be against London Genesis in the National Futsal Series this weekend, the 22nd of May, and the squad will look forward to pushing for an all-important win on the return to the court.
